JBY Academy & Performming Arts Conservatory
JBY Academy & Performing Arts Conservatory™ is an arts education and academic enrichment school program and independent 501c(3) nonprofit organization. The mission of the organization is to provide innovative and inspiring programming for children and teens; to empower, train, and provide career pathways; with a special aim at serving aspiring talent, at-risk, underserved and underprivileged youth. Our programming is designed to uplift, strengthen, educate, and inspire. We provide affordable, accessible and excellent services, in the form of classes, workshops, traveling programs, festivals, performances, and community engagement. As well as, provide cultural enrichment and community outreach through strategic, meaningful, goal-oriented programming; that is welcoming and rooted in a spirit of family engagement and community unity. JBY Academy & Performing Arts Conservatory offers an audition free enrollment process, because JBY doesn't eliminate kids. We elevate kids.

Such as our annual Kwanzaa event and our annual Juneteenth event. JBY programs make a local and a global impact because we bring families together. We don't just talk the talk of diversity, equity and inclusion. We ARE diversity, equity and inclusion.
JBY believes that when children of all racial backgrounds, learn about each other's culture and heritage, it teaches them humility, humanity, and harmony.

As such, unlike most arts-based charter, public, or private schools, JBY Academy is an audition-free arts education and academic enrichment nonprofit organization; for both traditional school, cyber school, and homeschool children. As well as young adults through apprenticeship and internships.

INTEGRITY
We strive for integrity in every program, production, and event we create. As well as the environment and culture we create before, during, and after a program or production is completed. Integrity of spirit, character, and work ethic is required of every participant in a JBY event or activity.
MENTORING
We believe in the African proverb "It takes a village to raise a child". Family-engagement is at the core of JBY. It's the root of who we are and all we do. Everyone involved in a JBY production or program has a collective responsibility to be a supportive, engaged and positive contribution in some capacity.

We believe there's a difference between having talent verses being anointed. JBY events, productions and programs are covered under an anointing that goes deeper that just being talented in the arts. We carefully and thoughtfully plan, prepare and produce all of our programming and events with this mindset.
