JBY Academy & Performming Arts Conservatory
JBY Academy & Performing Arts Conservatory™ is a community-based arts education and academic enrichment independent 501c(3) nonprofit organization that provides innovative and inspiring programming for children and teens; offering services and support that is accessible for all youth. Our programming is designed to uplift, strengthen, educate, and inspire. Our programs can accommodate all school types, including homeschoolers, cyber schoolers, traditional schoolers, and learners with special needs. We strive to create fun inclusive and diverse experiences that encourage family engagement and community harmony for the overall benefit of children and teens. Especially those who are underserved, marginalized or underprivileged. JBY doesn't eliminate kids. We elevate kids!

Ms. Mahogany is a great educator and performing artist. I am truly humbled that my daughter had the opportunity to take part in her organized virtual cultural events. Through her determination, she helped foster a space of community across cultures, races, ages and even across cities; through art.

"JBY is proud to be a leader in diversity while also being consistent with celebrating African American culture and history through meaningful programming. Such as our annual Kwanzaa event and our annual Juneteenth event. JBY programs make a local and a global impact because we bring families together. We don't just talk the talk of diversity, equity and inclusion. We ARE diversity, equity and inclusion.
JBY believes that when children of all racial backgrounds, learn about each other's culture and heritage, it teaches them humility, humanity, and harmony.
We are intentional about providing programming and services for African American youth, Hispanic youth, and multicultural families. Why? Because JBY hears the call, and we are geared up to fill the needs of underserved youth who have otherwise been excluded, limited, or disenfranchised."

"We believe that when children and teens have a positive creative outlet; it helps them live a happy, whole, and emotionally healthy life. As such, unlike most arts-based charter, public, or private schools, JBY Academy is an audition-free arts education and academic enrichment nonprofit organization; for both traditional school, cyber school, and homeschool children. As well as young adults through apprenticeship and internships.

We strive for integrity in every program, production, and event we create. As well as the environment and culture we create before, during, and after a program or production is completed. Integrity of spirit, character, and work ethic is required of every participant in a JBY event or activity.

We believe in the African proverb "It takes a village to raise a child". Family-engagement is at the core of JBY. It's the root of who we are and all we do. Everyone involved in a JBY production or program has a collective responsibility to be a supportive, engaged and positive contribution in some capacity.

We believe there's a difference between having talent verses being anointed. JBY events, productions and programs are covered under an anointing that goes deeper that just being talented in the arts. We carefully and thoughtfully plan, prepare and produce all of our programming and events with this mindset.
