We are also excited about our performing and creative arts after-school program to be held on Friday afternoons at St. Paul's Third Lutheran Church in Easton, PA
JBY Academy does not have a rigid or demanding volunteering requirement. However, parents are asked to work cooperatively to volunteer during the meetups and throughout the school year. We will function as a community with a mindset of unity, harmony, and fellowship.
JBY Academy takes the Covid-19 pandemic seriously. We will strive to practice "safety smarts" during meetups and activities. The safety of the students and families are a TOP PRIORITY and all registered participants will be expected to respect and abide by our "safety smarts" protocols. JBY Academy was founded in 2016 as a creative arts and academic enrichment program; designed with kids & teens in mind. For both homeschool children and traditional school. The program was born in Central, New Jersey. In 2017 we extended our program to the Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania (Easton, Bethlehem, Allentown).
During 2017 through 2019 we hosted marvelous workshops in-person at local libraries. Children learned, created and socialized. Due to the pandemic of 2020, we were unable to continue our meetups, but it didn't stop our commitment to serving the youth. As such, we began hosting wonderful virtual workshops via ZOOM video conferencing. This was a caring decision made to keep children engaged, enriched and connected; during the uncertain times of social distancing, due to the covid-19 health crisis.
Due to the huge success and high demand of our workshops, we are now encouraged to answer the call to fill a void in Lehigh Valley, PA; for homeschool families seeking quality and affordable educational and enrichment classes for their children.
JBY Academy was created by Mahogany Reynolds-Clarke, out of love and devotion to her sonshine, DJ, an aspiring filmmaker, musician and zoologist.
JBY Academy is dedicated to providing high quality, interactive, and enriching classes in education and creative arts. Our classes are optional and are NOT a requirement to join JBY Academy. We are also committed to establishing a positive homeschool community of like-minded families in the Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania. As well as, families outside of the area who wish to participate in our program virtually.
"Black History Month came alive in both meaningful and fun ways for my 8-year-old! Ms. Mahogany is an energetic teacher and kept my son engaged and interested with questions and activities."
"During the Black History Month workshops, I appreciated the way Ms. Mahogany made it so fun to listen to history and gave them notes as you went along. I feel they learned a great deal. All of my kids (ages 9, 10, 14 and 15) enjoyed it. I enjoyed it too!"
"Because of your Women's History Month class, I have been pondering the absolute fierceness of the women who went before me and allowed me to have a seat at the table today. We really enjoyed the creative projects as well!"

We strive for integrity in every program, production, and event we create. As well as the environment and culture we create before, during, and after a program or production is completed. Integrity of spirit, character, and work ethic is required of every participant in a JBY event or activity.
We believe in the passage "Train up a child in the way that he [she] should go, and we he [she] is old, he [she] shall not depart from it." Mentoring is at the core of JBY. It's the root of who we are and all we do. Everyone involved in a JBY production or program has a responsibility to be a mentor and a positive role-model in some capacity.
We believe there's a difference between having talent verses being anointed. JBY events, productions and programs are covered under an anointing that goes deeper that just being talented in the arts. And while we are an all-inclusive organization, we cover every thing we do in prayer.
At JBY we believe having a spirit of grace, treating others with grace, and conducting ourselves with gracefulness, is imperative to the success of everything we embark upon. Grace is something that brings people and communities together verse tearing them apart. JBY is proud of the grace we bring into the world. Grace is the cornerstone of our character.
JBY believes in the power of positive energy. It fuels every aspect of our organization. Every man, woman and child is encouraged to bring positive energy into the room. Energy is alive and it transfers to one person to the next. JBY is charged by positive energy in every area of the organization. We simply do not accommodate negative energy.
