"We are happy to announce that JBY Academy is now an official nonprofit!
JBY Academy & Performing Arts Conservatory was born out of a passion for art, education, and creativity--and a loving commitment to children. We are an organization where all children; regardless of their socioeconomic status, will have access to affordable and quality arts education and academic enrichment.
I cordially welcome you to read more about JBYPAC.
Spread this good news with a friend.
Let's learn and create together!"

"JBY is proud to be a leader in diversity when it comes to being both a service to the homeschool community, cyber charter school community, and traditional school families as well. Providing services and programming on a local level and making a global impact.
We don't just talk the talk of diversity, equity and inclusion.
We ARE diversity, equity and inclusion.
JBY believes that when children of all racial backgrounds, learn about each other's culture and heritage, it teaches them humility, humanity, and harmony.
We are intentional about providing programming and services for African American youth, Hispanic youth, and multicultural families. Why? Because JBY hears the call, and we are geared up to fill the needs of underserved youth who have otherwise been excluded, limited, or disenfranchised."
"We believe that when children and teens have a positive creative outlet;
it helps them live a happy, whole, and emotionally healthy life.
As such, unlike most arts-based charter, public, or private schools, JBY Academy is an audition-free arts education and academic enrichment nonprofit organization; for both traditional school, cyber school, and homeschool children. As well as young adults through apprenticeship and internships.
JBY Academy & Performing Arts Conservatory is happy to provide a warm and welcoming space for kids to be who they are, make a positive impact in the world, and create beautiful lasting memories. While incorporating the JBY core values I.M.A.G.E Matters. We are more than just another arts program.
We teach youth to have confidence, a heart of service, a commitment to excellence, and a spirit of unity."
OVERVIEW
We are more than a drop in online class platform. Our courses are custom designed to meet each child where they are and to build confidence, self-esteem and a sense of community.

"During the Black History Month workshops, I appreciated the way Ms. Mahogany made it so fun to listen to history and gave them notes as you went along. I feel they learned a great deal. All of my kids (ages 9, 10, 14 and 15) enjoyed it. I enjoyed it too!"
"Black History Month came alive in both meaningful and fun ways for my 8-year-old! Ms. Mahogany is an energetic teacher and kept my son engaged and interested with questions and activities."
"Because of your Women's History Month class, I have been pondering the absolute fierceness of the women who went before me and allowed me to have a seat at the table today. We really enjoyed the creative projects as well!"
We strive for integrity in every program, production, and event we create. As well as the environment and culture we create before, during, and after a program or production is completed. Integrity of spirit, character, and work ethic is required of every participant in a JBY event or activity.
We believe in the African proverb "It takes a village to raise a child". Family-engagement is at the core of JBY. It's the root of who we are and all we do. Everyone involved in a JBY production or program has a collective responsibility to be a supportive, engaged and positive contribution in some capacity.
We believe there's a difference between having talent verses being anointed. JBY events, productions and programs are covered under an anointing that goes deeper that just being talented in the arts. We carefully and thoughtfully plan, prepare and produce all of our programming and events with this mindset.
At JBY we believe having a spirit of grace, treating others with grace, and conducting ourselves with gracefulness, is imperative to the success of everything we embark upon. Grace is something that brings people and communities together verse tearing them apart. JBY is proud of the grace we bring into the world. Grace is the cornerstone of our character.
JBY believes in the power of positive energy. It fuels every aspect of our organization. Every individual is expected and encouraged to bring positive energy into the room. Energy is alive and it transfers to one person to the next. JBY is charged by positive energy in every area of the organization. We simply do not accommodate negative energy.
