JBY'S NEW Girls Enrichment Club!
JBY is developing a new girls enrichment club for preteen and teen girls that will meetup in person in and virtually; for positive socialization and youth development through small groups, workshops, educational field trips, teen hangouts, and more. This youth group is specifically aimed at African American/Black, brown, and children of color. The new club will be open to all preteen and teen girls who are interested in participating in this empowering and enriching new teen program. Registration is required. Meetups start soon and will culminate with a family-oriented celebration at the end of the school year.

Mahogany Reynolds-Clarke (known in the arts industry as Mahogany Reynolds) has over 28 year's experience mentoring, coaching and training the youth in various capacities. Such as: performing arts, creative writing, language arts, and visual arts. Combined with 13 year's of experience as a successful homeschool educator.
Ms. Mahogany is a professional journalist with a Bachelor's in Liberal Arts. For over twelve years, she worked as a journalist for various newspapers in Michigan (her home state) and an on-camera reporter for a variety of local news network stations, such as PBS-WGVU.
Always striving for excellence, Ms. Mahogany recently earned a certificate from Harvard University in Family Engagement in Education. Simultaneously, she earned a certificate from Light University, in Coaching Children and Adolescents. She applies the knowledge she gained to empower families and to strengthen JBY Academy.
In addition to her strong academic credentials, Ms. Mahogany is what show business calls "beyond a triple-threat". As a multi slash performing artists; with an extensive resume, she has over 33 years of experience, landing lead and supporting roles, in film, television and theatre. She began her career as a child in Detroit (her home town) and has performed as an actress and model all across the United States of America, plus, Europe, Canada, and Jamaica. She is also an accomplished playwright and director with several stage plays and a musical under her creative belt.
Over the years, Ms. Mahogany has used her resources and status in the arts industry to support her efforts to help children build their self-esteem, expand their knowledge, learn to lead, and to trust their creative gifts.
Ms. Mahogany puts her journalist genius to use a media darling. Events, programs and productions developed under her guiding light have appeared in numerous publications; such as, Broadway World, The Star Ledger, Home News Tribune, and USA Today. As well as broadcast networks, WFMZ Channel 69 News, News 12 NJ, Comcast FIOS News, and many more.
As a hardworking Mom, Ms. Mahogany's passion for the arts, thirst for knowledge, and spirit of excellence is the driving force behind everything she accomplishes. And she is proud to say, that her sonshine, DJ is paving a new and awesome path for JBY, with his multiple talents and youthful energy.
