About Our Historic Youth Film Festival
We made history during our 2nd Annual Just Be You Performing Arts Youth Film Festival, on August 29, 2019. We are proud to be the premier all youth driven, all youth made, all youth focused, exclusively for youth, film festival of New Jersey.
We were interviewed by the press the day of the festival - how exciting!!!
We were so thrilled to honor all the AWARD WINNING filmmakers and photographers. We screened over 33 films live at the festival. The audience was excited to see films from ALL OVER THE WORLD!
As well as, homegrown films made in New Jersey!
Our first festival, held in September 2018; was so unique that it was featured in USA Today Home News Tribune in September 2018. What a huge milestone!
The Just Be You Film Festival 2018 & 2019 was a celebration of all things Just Be You Performing Arts; film, theater, music, dance, fashion, comedy, and a live performances. This one of a kind festival; with a youth driven focus, featured engaging entertainment, education, and tons of fun, all by KIDS!!!!
The 2019 festival was held at the Rahway Public Library Auditorium to great success. We had a full house and enjoyed a marvelous showcase of short films. The press came out to interview us! It was another historic milestone
in New Jersey.
We planned to take the festival on a three city tour in 2020, but unfortunately, due to the coivd-19 pandemic, our plans were hindered. Nevertheless, we kept the festival alive by accepting submissions from youth filmmakers
from all over the world.
Now, we are coming back in lovely Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania.

Our legacy
Just Be You Performing Arts was founded and created by accomplished actress, writer, director and producer, Mahogany Reynolds (-Clarke); a champion for children, who wanted to develop an organization for kids, to inspire and mentor them to dream big. We were born in Rahway, New Jersey in 2013 and since then have grown up to be a strong platform for youth in the performing arts; as well as, emerging artists of all ages.
Our productions
Over recent years, Just Be You Performing Arts have produced several innovative shows and events in New Jersey. Ranging from comedy, fashion, talent showcases, free workshops for kids, original plays and musicals. We are a diverse organization that strives to produce events with a spirit of excellence. We are excited about the new endeavors we're planning for 2022.

Bella "BellaStar" Cruz is an award-winning artists. She travels and performs live at various competitions and events. BellaStar was the VIP Special Guest Performer at the Just Be You Performing Arts Youth Film Festival in 2018 and served as an inspiration to the children.

Adora Danae is an up and coming singer and songwriter from New Jersey. At the young age of 20, Adora has already been featured on News 12 NJ, USA Today, Broadway World, and the Star Ledger, for her immaculate vocal performances during several Just Be You Performing Arts events.
